Founded by Arman “Maman” Salada, a professional rock climber, born and raised in Cagayan de Oro, 8a Performance was born out of a need for high-quality, affordable sportswear. Maman’s journey through local and international climbing competitions highlighted the scarcity of cost-effective, comfortable sports apparel, motivating him to create a brand that caters to the needs of athletes like himself. Named after the ‘8a’ grade in sport climbing, which signifies advanced performance, 8a Performance embodies the spirit of pushing beyond limits and achieving excellence.
Grand Opening Event Highlights
The opening ceremony featured a ribbon cutting with photo opportunities alongside the 8a Performance owner and representatives with special guests. Councilor Bernie delivered welcome remarks, followed by a media interview.
Additionally, a 20% discount on selected items was available exclusively on opening day, making it the perfect opportunity to experience 8a Performance’s top-quality gear.
